A new, easier way for Bastrop families to schedule care on their own time!
At Community Health Centers of South Central Texas (CHCSCT), we know how valuable, and often limited, your time is. That’s why we’re excited to announce our new online self-scheduling tool at the Bastrop ISD Health Center. Now new and returning patients can book everything from a sick visit to a $10 sports physical, well-child check, or annual exam right from their phone or computer, anytime day or night.
Taking care of your health can be hard enough, we don’t want scheduling to be another barrier. Online booking is one more way we’re making care more accessible, convenient, and stress-free.
Built With Bastrop Families in Mind
We’re always listening to the communities we serve, and one thing we hear a lot is that finding time to call and schedule an appointment isn’t always easy. So we wanted to make it simpler.
As CEO Rafael De La Paz shared, “the future is bright, and it’s a matter of just being innovative and understanding that change is coming. We just have to be prepared to ensure that we meet the needs of the community.” Online booking is one way we’re putting that into practice, as we look for more ways to close access gaps for Texas families.
Cassandra Haley, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at the Bastrop ISD Health Center, is excited for families to try it out:
“I am looking forward to parents using the self-scheduling tool, as I feel it will give them more convenience and choice over their time and appointments. We are hoping that parents feel like they will be able to schedule faster, with less hassle.”.
How to Schedule an Appointment Online
Scheduling takes just a quick few minutes:
- Visit the Bastrop ISD Health Center page and select “SCHEDULE ONLINE NOW”
- Select your “Language” preference on the top right corner (English or Spanish)
- Under “Have you visited this provider/practice before?” Select “Yes” if you have (returning patient) or select “No” if you haven’t (new patient).
- Select your “Appointment Reason” on the right
- For example, imagine you are a returning patient and you have a cold. You would select “Yes” and “Sick Visit”
- Click on your “Preferred Date and Time” (feel free to filter by Morning, Afternoon, or Evening).
- 💡Can’t find a time that works? Click the “Send Request” button at the bottom of the page to ask our team if they can accommodate your preferred date and time.
- You will then be redirected to a page where you can input patient information: name, date of birth, sex, phone number, and email. Feel free to book an appointment for somebody else (like a family member).
- Verify your identity using the phone number you inputted (you can choose to receive a text or a call)
- Once that’s done, the last step is to add any information you would like to share with the provider and selecting your payment method, such as self-pay or insurance if you have it. Reminder: Booking an online appointment is free (our system will not ask for payment details).
- Click “Book” and that’s it, your appointment is requested! You’ll get a call to confirm the details, so be sure to add it to your calendar.

Whether you’re a longtime patient or booking your first visit, you’ll be in good hands at the Bastrop ISD Health Center with Nurse Cassandra.
She is responsible for conducting physical and developmental assessments, diagnosing and treating common illnesses, providing follow-up for chronic conditions in patients with conditions such as asthma, diabetes or ADHD, administering vaccines, booster and wellness exams and advising parents on topics like nutrition, sleep, behavior, and child development, among others.
